Fourteen County Durham residents have been fined for littering offences in the region. 

The 14 people all appeared in Peterlee Magistrates Court in May, where they were fined for each of their offences.

Here are the 14 County Durham residents fined for littering this month:

  • Ross William Horner, of Conyers Road, Chester Le Street failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £438 in fines and costs to pay.
  • Andrew Garner, of South Norwood, failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in a property they own in Tweed Terrace, Stanley. They now have a total of £860 in fines and costs to pay.
  • Samantha Camsell, of School Terrace, South Moor failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £615 in fines and costs to pay.
  • Martyn Dugdale, of Whitehouse Lane, Ushaw Moor, failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £726 in fines and costs to pay.
  • Fiona Catherine Burke, of Henry Street, Shildon, has been prosecuted after being issued a Community Protection Notice for the accumulation of waste in the rear of the property. A collection order of £438.00 was ordered to be paid.
  • After an accumulation of waste, Benjamin McGinty, of Close House, Bishop Auckland was issued with a Community Protection Notice. After failure to comply, a collection order of £636.50 was made at court.
  • Natasha Wilkinson, of Yorkhill Road, Spennymoor, has been ordered to pay £777.00 after failing to comply with a Community Protection Order regarding an accumulation of waste in the yard of the property.
  • Shantelle Wilson, of Shafto Terrace, Shield Row failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £777 in fines and costs to pay.
  • Alex Nixon, of Irene Terrace, Langley Park failed to comply with a Community Protection Notice in relation to waste in their garden. They now have a total of £726 in fines and costs to pay.
  • Cameron Finlayson, of Station Road, Stanley has been prosecuted for littering in the Stanley area. They were given the opportunity to pay a Fixed Penalty Notice of £150 or £85 if completion of a e-learning course however failed to pay, they now have a total of £438 to pay.
  • Nadana Sabapathy, of Raby Terrace, Chilton, has been prosecuted for failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice.They were given the opportunity to pay a Fixed Penalty Notice of £150 or £85 if completion of a e-learning course however failed to pay, they now have a total of £638 to pay.
  • Deborah Stoker, of Danesley Close, Peterlee,  has been prosecuted for littering in the Crimdon Dene area. They were given the opportunity to pay a Fixed Penalty Notice of £150 or £85 if completion of a e-learning course however failed to pay, they now have a total of £438 to pay.
  • Raymond Bourne, of Rosedale Crescent, Shildon, has been prosecuted for ditching rubbish on the highway at Leelholm. . They were given the opportunity to pay a Fixed Penalty Notice of £150 or £85 if completion of a e-learning course however failed to pay, they now have a total of £608 to pay.
  • Kirsty Mckitten, of Elgar Close, Stanley has been prosecuted for littering in the Stanley area. They were given the opportunity to pay a Fixed Penalty Notice of £150 or £85 if completion of a e-learning course however failed to pay, they now have a total of £634 to pay.
