Police are looking for a baker’s dozen of "dangerous" off-road bike riders who rode through a graveyard.

Officers in Hartlepool have released pictures of thirteen riders they have branded “dangerous” for riding in an “antisocial manner”.

They were all spotted riding the bikes, which are not legal on UK roads, in the Hart Lane Cemetery on Wednesday, April 24.

In pictures released by police many are seen wearing balaclavas, snoods or hoods pulled down to obscure their faces. Only some are wearing helmets.

Police are hoping the public will be able to identify the riders who they have numbered from one to 13.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police in Hartlepool are seeking information on a large number of people riding off-road bikes in a dangerous and antisocial manner in Hart Lane Cemetery on Wednesday 24th April.

“If you recognise the rider or the bike, or have any information on where these bikes are stored please call 101 quoting reference SG24026238.”
