Met Office: North East forecast as weather warning in place

It's set to be another wet and rainy day in Darlington and County Durham throughout the day today as a yellow weather warning for rain remains in place from the Met Office.

According to forecasters, heavy rain may cause some flooding and disruption to travel as they warn motorists to expect possible delays.

Temperatures average out at 13C for the day as winds of up to 20mph accompany rain showers.

Following a wet week, the forecaster has also stated that “sunshine” is expected to brighten up Saturday with mostly dry conditions.
