The hospice has confirmed their warehouse was broken into and donated stock, which was to be sold on eBay to support those living with a terminal illness and their families, had been stolen.

A representative for the hospice called the act “despicable” and said they are working with police.

A Teesside Hospice representative said: “The police are working with us to try as best as we can to bring these people to justice. To steal is one thing, but to steal from a local hospice that directly supports Teessiders and their loved ones is despicable.”

“Those affected by the goods stolen have been contacted and refunded for their missing parcels, and we are taking every action to develop the security of our warehouse.”
