A man in his 30s is in a serious condition in hospital after being allegedly shot at, in what police are treating as a murder attempt.

The 35-year-old was allegedly shot with a firearm on Hubbard Walk in Middlesbrough at about 8.20pm on Friday (May 17) night.

He was left seriously ill in hospital.

Two Middlesbrough men, aged 19 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over the weekend, with the 25-year-old later charged and due to appear in court.

The 19-year-old suspect has been released on police bail.

Officers have now named two other men they are looking to speak to as 25-year-old Nathan Blagg and 22-year-old Michael Kinlan, both from Middlesbrough.

Anyone who knows their whereabouts or may have seen the pair are urged to call police on 101.

Detectives are also trying to locate a black Kia Sorento, registration NV57 WLH, which they believe was used in the incident.

They are also looking for a third man in connection with the shooting. He has not been named.
