A woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving with no insurance and drug driving following a crash this morning.
Cleveland Police have confirmed they were called to a one-vehicle collision on Meryl Gardens in Hartlepool at 7:10am on Thursday (May 16).
They added the car is believed to have collided with a “railway.”
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “At 7.10am on Thursday 16 May police were called to reports of a one-vehicle collision on Meryl Gardens in Hartlepool.
“A car is believed to have collided with a railway.

“The driver, a 70-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of driving with no insurance and drug driving. The road has now reopened.”
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A689 in Hartlepool at 7.10am on 16 May.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and an officer, who assessed those on scene but no-one was taken to hospital."
