A new report has revealed the best schools in North Yorkshire based on their progress 8 score - noting the top ten across the region.

Online Marketing Surgery have created their School Attainment Report, which helps rank secondary schools in North Yorkshire based on their average progress 8 score.

This score is a way of measuring the progress that pupils make from the end of key stage 2 to the end of key stage 4.

Within the report, the key findings, St Francis Xavier School - a Joint Catholic and Church of England Voluntary Academy has the highest progress 8 score in North Yorkshire with 0.79 above the average of 0.

Meanwhile, the school with the lowest progress 8 score is Eskdale School, with their progress 8 score being 0.76 below the 0 average.
