An appeal has been launched after a man was the victim of assault and robbery near a North East bank.
Cleveland Police have confirmed a man, 53, was assaulted and robbed on York Road in Hartlepool at around 7:20pm on Saturday (April 20).
Police confirmed the incident took place near to Santander.
They have appealed for anyone with information to assist them in their enquiries.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police received a report that a 53-year-old man had been assaulted and robbed on York Road in Hartlepool, near to Santander.

“Officers are asking for anyone with information to call 101 quoting reference number 72129.”
A NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 19.20pm on 20 April to reports of a person injured outside Santander on York Road in Hartlepool.
"We sent one ambulance resource which was stood down on arrival."
