It is set to be overcast with sunny spells in Darlington and across the North East today (April 24) as the Met Office predicts low temperatures of 5C.
Low temperatures and cool breezes continue as we move towards May as forecasters predict winter-like frost and showers tonight and later in the week.
Today, temperatures will reach a high of 9C from 2pm, but is then set to drop to a low of 5C by 11pm this evening.
Wind is also forecast throughout the day and will reach a high of 20mph, with the sun due to set at 8:27pm.
Following a cool start to the week, the forecaster has said this is set to continue with an “overnight frost” set to hit tomorrow.
