Police are appealing for information after an arson attack on a house in Thornaby in the early hours of Wednesday (April 17) morning.
Officers from Cleveland Police were called to a property on Poplar Road in the early hours of the morning, following reports of the front of a house on fire and smoke coming from the property.
Police were still seen at the house into the early morning on Wednesday, with police saying that the fire caused "substantial damage" to the front of the house.
It's believed that no one was injured during the incident.
Police have said that anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 069516.
