Two men have been charged in connection with two stabbing offences in Redcar.

Cleveland Police confirmed that the incidents were separate.

A 24-year-old was charged with GBH and possession of an offensive weapon after a report of a stabbing on Harwal Road on March 28.

He is due to appear in court at Teesside Magistrates' Court today (April 15).

The other incident involved a 32-year-old man after a report of a stabbing on Redcar High Street on March 31.

He has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

He will also appear in Teesside Magistrates' Court today.

A spokesperson said: "Two men have been charged by CID officers in connection with two separate alleged stabbing incidents in Redcar.

"A 24-year-old man has been charged with section 18 GBH and possession of an offensive weapon after a report of a stabbing on Harwal Road, Redcar, on 28th March.
