A man has been taken to hospital and an appeal was launched following a disturbance on a County Durham street yesterday.
Durham Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was hospitalised following an incident on Conway Place, Perkinsville, Chester-le-Street at around 6pm on Monday (April 8).
They also confirmed a second man was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a disturbance in Conway Place, Perkinsville, which left one man needing hospital treatment.
“The incident happened at about 6pm yesterday.
“A man sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.

“A second man was arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
“Officers believe several people may have witnessed the incident.
“Anyone with any information is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident reference number 331 of April 8.”
