A half-term event promoting movement, healthy eating and exercise for children is set to take place in Darlington today - here's all the details.
Market Square is set to be buzzing with activity today (April 8) for the Move More event hosted by Darlington Borough Council.
The day, which is targeted at children and young families is free and will kick off from 11am until 4pm without charge.
It's also part of the council's HAF (Holiday Activities and Food Programme) funded by the Department for Education.
Today, kids will be able to join in with a climbing wall, American football, golf, penalty shoot outs, basketball, arts and crafts, hula hooping and skipping.
The Darlington Move More Team also organise other events for kids aged 5-16, with activities including:
- football
- cricket
- rugby
- archery
- dance
- drama
- arts and crafts
- escape room
- smoothie making
- cooking
- water sports
The team also put on activities including intensive swimming lessons, pickleball taster sessions and bowling for kids during the holidays which can be booked online.
