It is set to be a damp day in Darlington and across the North East today (April 8) as the Met Office predicts intermittent "heavy rain" showers.
Higher temperatures have and will not keep the rain at bay this week in the region today as forecasters predict several hours of rainfall throughout Monday.
Today, temperatures will reach a high of 14C by 2pm making way for a high of 80% chance of rain from 6pm this evening.
Despite Storm Kathleen causing winds of up to 42mph over the weekend, the breeze is set to be "gentle" today.
