An appeal has been launched following a theft at a County Durham store last month.

Durham Police are appealing for more information to help locate a man following a theft at the Aldi store on Front Street in Stanley which took place around 1:20pm on Monday.

Police have said they wish to speak with the man in relation to the incident.

A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Do you recognise this man? We’d like to speak to him in relation to a theft that took place at the Aldi store on Front Street, Stanley.

“The incident took place at around 1.20pm on Monday, March 11.

“Anybody with any information relating to his identity or the incident is asked to contact Durham Police on 101, quoting reference number CRI00533729.”
