The full line up for an upcoming North East comic con set to take place later this week has been unveiled - here are all the details.

Comic Con North East is back - and this year it's set to be held at Newcastle's Utilita Arena on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14 with a star-studded line-up of guests from film and TV.

Standard weekend tickets are already on sale for £49.50, and add-ons for meet and greets with guests can also be purchased on the site.

Organisers say: "From guest appearances to cosplay masquerades, Comic Con Newcastle will have something for everyone, celebrating all things pop culture in all its glory.

"Previous years have proudly hosted the likes of Nick Frost, James Marsters, Simon Bird, and many more, but as we return for our second year in Newcastle, we will be bringing in even more top talent to follow such success.

"Our 2024 show will will welcome actors from a wide range of franchises such as Doctor Who (Jenna Coleman, Arthur Darvill, Freema Agyeman, and John Barrowman) The Lost Boys (Billy Wirth), and Teen Wolf (Seth Gilliam) to name a few."

Here is the full list of guests set to appear:

Saturday

  • Jenna Coleman - known for her role as Clara Oswald alongside Peter Capaldi in Doctor Who and more recently for the 2023 thriller flick Jackdaw.

  • Freema Agyeman - best known for her role as Martha Jones in Doctor Who alongside David Tennant but more recently starred in the 2023 series Dreamland.

  • Craig Charles - DJ, comedian, Red Dwarf and Coronation Street star, Craig will appear on Saturday at the convention.
  • Robert Llewellyn - Also known for his role in Red Dwarf, actor and comedian Robert will appear on the first day of the convention too.

Saturday and Sunday

  • John Barrowman - Scottish-American actor John Barrowman will be at the convention the whole weekend. He's best known for his appearances on Doctor Who, Arrow and Torchwood.

  • Gareth David-Lloyd - Actor and writer Gareth is another Torchwood star, but is also known for his appearance in the Sherlock Holmes series.
  • Arthur Darvill - Another Doctor Who star heading to the North East is Arthur Darvill who played Rory Williams alongside Karen Gillan.

  • Billy Wirth - Perhaps best known for his role as Dwayne in the 1987 film The Lost Boys, Billy is set to appear on both days of the convention.
  • Seth Gillam - Best known for his portrayal of Father Gabriel on AMC's smash hit The Walking Dead, Seth also played Ellis Carver on The Wire and Clayton Hughes on Oz.
  • Danny John Jules - Actor, singer and dancer Danny completes the lineup. He's best known for playing Cat in Red Dwarf and policeman Dwayne Myers in Death in Paradise.
