A Darlington town centre pub has finally opened following a lengthy renovation - take a look inside.
The Corner House pub on the corner of Duke Street in the town centre offered drinkers a glimpse inside yesterday (March 28) before it finally opened on Good Friday.
At the soft launch, friends family and businesses were invited inside to sample what's on offer and listen to live music from Jenna Louise.
The pub has opened on the site of the former Fraser's bar.
Pictures inside the venue show punters enjoying drinks and taking in the new atmosphere as managers aimed to create something different for the town.
Dylan Scott, the manager at the newly opened Corner House said: "We want to create an upmarket pub - where you can enjoy watching live sport with a drink.
"There's a gap in the Darlington market for a pub that doesn't do disco and karaoke - though we will still be playing plenty of tunes from the 70s and 80s!
"We don't want it to be quiet, but we do want to provide for a different clientele. We have worked really hard on the decor, and gone for something different but classy - that'll have an impact on the atmosphere.
"I'm always hopeful and happy - and I think we can build up a great name for The Corner House in Darlington. We've got such a good location in the centre of town.
"I put 100 and 10 per cent into everything!"
Daniel Middleton, the manager of Dr Ink's, The Corner House's sister venue said: "We hope The Corner House going to be an upmarket boozer, with live music quite often, whilst keeping a traditional pub atmosphere."
