A popular pub has reopened to the public following a seven-figure renovation designed to revitalise the existing site and give it a brand-new look.
Billingham pub, The Kings Arms, on Wolviston Road, closed its doors in late February and has now reopened following the completion of major work both inside and out.
The inside of the pub has received a complete makeover to create a modern, welcoming atmosphere with new refreshed décor and an open plan layout divided into zones for different occasions, including a cocktail area, TV-free restaurant/dining area, as well as a sports bar, with 13 TVs including one situated in the new outdoor pergola.
Customers will find experience enhancing comfort and convenience at the pub with the latest upgrades, including bookable booths and champagne table, providing a cosy and private space to enjoy time with friends and family.
Meanwhile, there has also been investment in revamped toilets and the pizzeria has been relocated.
Outside, the gardens have undergone an expansion, boasting an increased capacity from 300 to 700 covers.
One of the gardens offers a family-friendly experience, featuring a new children’s play area, which includes a climbing frame and slide for little ones to enjoy.
The other garden – focusing on adults - features a 75-inch TV, showing all major sporting fixtures throughout the year.
The Kings Arms reopens with the same menu.
Behind the bar, the drinks menu has had a refresh, offering a new range of beers and ales.
Toni Jeffries, general manager of The Kings Arms, said: “Our brilliant team at The Kings Arms, are excited to showcase our new and improved pub to the local community. We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and old customers!
“The renovation has given the pub a new lease of life, and we’re confident that customers will love our improved facilities, whether they’re looking for a drink with friends, a meal with the family, booking a party in our mini function room, or enjoying a sporting event, there is something for everyone!”
