A North East high street will close for two days overnight for resurfacing works.
Stockton Borough Council (SBC) has confirmed works, originally planned for Monday (March 25) and Tuesday (March 26), to resurface Yarm high street have been postponed.
The section of road between Bentley Wynd and the Spital will be closed while work is carried out.
It would have been shut from 9.30pm to 5am to allow work to be carried out safely.
A SBC spokesperson said: "The planned closure of part of Yarm High Street this evening (March 25) and tomorrow evening (March 26) has been postponed.
"This is due to adverse weather over the weekend affecting the contractor's wider schedule. The planned works will now be rearranged in due course.
"Sorry for any inconvenience."
Previously, a SBC spokesperson said: “Overnight road closure: Part of Yarm High Street will be closed on the nights of Monday (March 25) and Tuesday (March 26) to allow for road resurfacing.
