It will be a largely bright and sunny day on Friday but don’t let the sun fool you as temperatures will be cooler with brisk winds.

Forecasters predict a dry start to the day with plenty of sunny spells despite some winds.

There could be some occasional sharp blustery showers which will make their way in from the west and could even fall as snow on the hills or hail at lower levels.

High temperatures will be about 11C, the Met Office has said, but those feels like temperatures will be low throughout the day getting down to freezing tonight.

And its set to be much of the same for the next few days as it’ll stay unsettled cooler than expected for the time of year, turning wetter and windier as we move into the weekend.

What will the weather be like later in the week?

On Saturday it’s set to be cold again with some sunny spells but more cloudy than today. There will be further blustery and sometimes heavy shows continuing bringing a little snow on the hills.

Heading into the back end of the weekend and into next weeks the showers and winds will fade on Sunday for a time before it turns wetter and windier into next week.
