The Met Office are predicting a rainy day in Darlington today (Wednesday, March 20). 

Darlington is expected to experience downpours  today, as the Met Office predicts cloudy weather with outbreaks of rain, locally heavy at times, during the morning and early afternoon.

However, as the day progresses, the rain is expected to ease into the afternoon, although it will remain rather dull and cloudy, with patchy light rain and drizzle possible.

The maximum temperature is predicted to be 11 °C.

Moving into the night, the region is expected to remain cloudy with outbreaks of patchy light rain and drizzle during the evening.

However, it is likely to become largely dry with some clear spells developing overnight. It will also turn chilly with patchy frost and fog by dawn, with a minimum temperature of 0 °C.

Looking ahead to Thursday, after a dry and bright start, it is expected to become increasingly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, locally heavy, spreading eastwards during the afternoon.

The day will also be windy and gusty to lee of hills, but mild, with a maximum temperature of 11 °C.
