Two static caravans have been destroyed in a suspected arson attack that saw two fire engines and other emergency services called to the scene.
The incident, which happened at about 4pm on Saturday (March 16), saw emergency services attend Newton Morrell, near Darlington, after reports that several static caravans had been set on fire.
After arriving on the scene, firefighters, from both North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue, were met with two static caravans that were well alight.
The vehicles, which are believed to be abandoned and derelict, with firefighters believing that the fire had been started deliberately.

Both static caravans were extinguished, with heavy damage to both of them.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crew from Richmond and colleagues from Darlington attended a fire to two static caravans.
"These were confirmed as derelict and the fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Crews extinguished using two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets."
