A man allegedly found in possession of a sawn-off shotgun has appeared in court.
Jamie Armstrong-Cliff, of Melrose Drive, St Helen Auckland, near Bishop Auckland, appeared before Peterlee Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

The 30-year-old is accused of possessing a shortened shotgun in West Auckland on March 31 last year.
The case has been sent to Durham Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing to be made.
The case will be next heard on April 5.
