It is set to be a dry yet overcast day in Darlington and across the North East today (March 11) as the Met Office predicts cool temperatures heading into the rest of the week.
As we move towards mid-March, the weather is anything but spring like as temperatures remain low.
Today, temperatures will reach a high of 7C from 12pm, but is then set to drop just one degree for the rest of the evening.
Light wind is also forecast throughout the day but will only reach a high of 7mph, with the sun due to set at 6:03pm.
Following a dry start to the week, the forecaster has warned to expect “outbreaks of rain on Wednesday and Thursday”.

The forecaster predicts: “A rather murky start to the day with plenty of cloud and hill fog over the Pennines.
“Outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the morning, becoming drier away from hills in the afternoon. Still feeling chilly, despite lighter winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.”
