Armed police descended on a County Durham street after a disturbance that saw two men arrested for 'making threats to kill'.
Specialist police officers and a large emergency service presence were seen on Manor Way, Peterlee at about 5.15pm on Tuesday (March 5), following reports of an incident on the stretch of road.
Numerous police vehicles were seen surrounding a house on Manor Way, with police surrounding the building and armed police seen next to neighbouring properties.
Following the disturbance, Durham Police have confirmed that it involved men allegedly making threats to kill, with them confirming that two men were put under arrest during the incident.
Both men are currently in police custody at this time.

A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "Officers responded to reports of a disturbance in the Manor Way area of Peterlee yesterday (March 5) at around 5.15pm.
"Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, and both remain in custody while further inquiries are carried out."
