It is set to be a frosty and chilly day in Darlington and across the North East today (March 4) as the Met Office predicts low temperatures set to feel like 3C.
As we welcome March, chilly spells would make you falsely believe that Spring is not on the way as the North East continues to see bouts of cold and frost.
Today, temperatures will reach a high of 9C at 3pm, but is then set to drop to a low of 6C by 7pm this evening but forecasters say it will feel like 3C.
Light wind is also forecast throughout the day but will only reach a high of 11mph, with the sun due to set at 5:49pm.
Following a dry start to the week, the forecaster has also stated that “strong winds and periods of rain” will hit the region from Wednesday to the end of the week, set to cause frost from cold snaps.
