A Darlington driver has been fined heavily in court after being caught going nearly 30mph over the speed limit.
David Niel Dodds, aged 66 of Yarm Road, Middleton St George, Darlington had his case heard before Northamptonshire Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 17.
He was caught on the M1 in a Citroen breaking the imposed speed limit of 40mph on June 13, 2023.

An automatic camera device caught Dodds going 68mph in a 40mph zone, 28mph over the speed limit.
He pleaded guilty and was fined £565 for the offence and was given six points on his licence.
Dodds was also made to pay £226 to victim services and £90 in court costs.
