The investigation at Myton Way in Ingleby Barwick has continued most of this morning after a fatal hit-and-run last night.

Pictures from the scene show a large number of police still in the area as enquiries continue.

Emergency services first appeared on the street at around 11.35pm on Friday evening (February 9).

They had received reports of a failure to stop after a crash.

A 60-year-old man died at the scene and two other people were hospitalised with serious injuries.

The police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
