Three people were taken to hospital following a crash near Guisborough yesterday (Thursday, February 8).

Police are appealing to members of the public with dash cam footage following the collision involving a black Nissan Juke and a blue Volkswagen Caddy on the A171/Fancy Lane at about 3.20pm on Thursday 8th February.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "A 60-year-old man travelling in the Nissan Juke was taken to James Cook University Hospital suffering from possible pelvic and leg injuries.

"A 32-year-old man travelling in the VW Caddy was extracted by fire crews and taken to James Cook University Hospital with a broken leg and possible pelvic injuries.

"A 26-year-old woman also travelling in the VW Caddy suffered a broken collar bone and was also taken to James Cook University Hospital."

A spokesperson for the Great North Air Ambulance Service said:

"Yesterday (Thursday) our critical care team was activated at 4.01pm reports of a road traffic collision on the A171 near Guisborough.

"Our doctor and critical care paramedic went to the incident via rapid response vehicle, they arrived on the scene at 4.26pm and worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service and Cleveland Fire Brigade to free and stabilise the patients before accompanying a patient to hospital by road."
