Northumbria Police have issued a fresh appeal after becoming "increasingly concerned" for the welfare of a Gateshead man.

Gary Bradford, 46, has now been missing for more than a week.

He first went missing from the Hallgarth Road area of Winlaton on January 28 at about 9.40pm.

Enquiries to trace him remain ongoing with a full review of CCTV footage already carried out as part of the investigation.

Gary is described as a white man, about 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build, clean shaven with short brown hair.

Gary has tattoos, including a tribal tattoo on the top of his right arm and a tattoo of a family member on both arms.

He was last known to be wearing a cap, a red hooded jacket with a blue t-shirt underneath, and black trousers.

The Northern Echo: Gary Bradford

Those searching for Gary are increasingly concerned for his welfare – as officers today (Monday) continue to appeal to the public for their help.

Sergeant David Wills, of Northumbria Police, said: "It has been more than a week since Gary was reported missing and extensive enquiries have unfortunately not yet led us to find him.

"Therefore, I continue to appeal to members of the community, in particular those in the Blaydon and Winlaton areas of Gateshead, for their help.”

"Any information, no matter how insignificant you feel it may be, could prove crucial to our search."
