A heavy police presence including the collision investigation unit was seen cordoning off a roundabout last night following an incident.
Officers descended on the B1275 Belasis Avenue Roundabout in Billingham yesterday after 8pm (Sunday, February 4).
The roundabout, including access to Chiltons Avenue and Tibbersley Avenue were closed off.
Pictures also show officers had laid out cones as part of the investigation as they remained on the scene after 9pm.
Multiple police vehicles were also pictured at the scene.
Data from AA Traffic maps suggests that the roundabout may still be closed.
The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
