Newcastle United wonderkid Lewis Miley has been spotted returning to his County Durham home town - with people loving the fact that they managed to spot the 17-year-old.

Despite his meteoric rise at the Premier League club, which included appearances in this season's Champions League, the teenager still had time to drop into several places in Stanley in County Durham at the end of last week, when he was spotted by a select few people.

After growing up in Stanley and attending Tanfield School, the footballer worked his way up the ranks at Newcastle United, before featuring in 18 games this season for the Magpies.

In December, during the final Champions League group stage match for Newcastle against Milan, Miley made history by becoming the youngest player in UEFA Champions League history to provide an assist for an English club at the age of 17 years and 226 days.
