Police have seized 800 cannibas plants following a raid on a County Durham village this morning (Tuesday, January 16).
Officers swooped on a property in Eldon Terrace, Ferryhill where they executed a warrant.
The alarm was raised following concerns that the electrics were being bypassed.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Once inside the property, officers located hundreds of plants across multiple rooms in the address.
"The electric meter was discovered to be bypassed and in a dangerous condition as well as the roof.
