A Teesside tech company has joined the team of sponsors working alongside The Northern Echo on the 2024 BUSINESSiQ Awards.

After 17 years in business, and now with more than 180 staff across seven offices, the Stockton-based  IT experts - also one of the key partners in The Northern Echo's Level Up campaign for investment and jobs –  have found solutions to every kind of challenge, from start-ups wanting the best connectivity through to large corporates wanting to outsource their IT function.

Now they will be on stage on April 25 presenting the trophy for the New Business of the Year at our Ramside Hall event, with host Alfie Joey and a room full of innovative businesses and outstanding leaders.

  • Which North East business has particularly impressed you this year? Take a few moments to NOMINATE THEM HERE for one of our awards.

We asked CEO Dan Kitchen why he had decided to put the company's name to this year's event.

He told us: "We were sponsors last year and really enjoyed not only the evening, but the experience of being judges and celebrating the region's exceptional success. Our Commercial Director who was on the judging panel found it a great platform to make connections with multiple businesses.

"Sponsoring the New Business of the Year award gives us the perfect opportunity to support and encourage emerging businesses. We have always been eager to fuel the fire of growth in our region’s entrepreneurial spirit and these awards do just that, and we wanted to contribute to the success of these amazing new ventures and be part of their journey.

"And that success is reflected in the whole region - we are always so impressed by the diverse successes within the region’s business community and completely inspired by the flair of our local entrepreneurs.

"We were winners of the Business of the Year Award last year, so supporting New Business of the Year made perfect sense to us.

"We believe in the region’s potential for continued growth and personally, razorblue remains entirely focussed on expansion and innovation. We continue to invest in our employees, we have a potential acquisition in the pipeline, a huge focus on our cybersecurity offering and we are opening a 24/7 security operations centre within our region.

"That's the level of investment and commitment Teesside has always lived by and which has brought us all so many opportunities"
