One person has been taken to hospital following a crash outside a County Durham school this afternoon.
Emergency services convened on Westway, the road running outside a primary school in Peterlee shortly after 3pm this afternoon following reports of a crash.
It is not known whether the crash involved a pupil of the school.
The North East ambulance attended the scene, and have since confirmed that one person has been hospitalised.
An ambulance service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Westway in Peterlee at 3.16pm on 11 January.
"We dispatched a rapid response paramedic and an ambulance crew, and transported one patient to North Tees Hospital for further treatment."
Durham Constabulary has been contacted for more information.
