He's been spreading his Christmas spirit across the town throughout December, starting from Sunday, December 10.

The new route for 2023 has been revealed by Darlington Round Table, but will he be making his way past your house soon?

Monday, December 11

Red Hall, Lingfield and Firth Moor - starting at Coombe Drive from 5.45pm.

Tuesday, December 12

Branksome, West Park and High Grange – starting at Deacon Pub, Newton Lane from 5.45pm.

Wednesday, December 13

Mowden and Hummersknott – starting at The Mowden Pub from 5.45pm.

Darlington Round Table has been running the sleigh for 40 years, all of whom are volunteers.

On the Just Giving page, it says: "Aside from making friends and lots of laughs, DBRT fundraise through the Santa Sleigh and other events to support special local causes.

"Not all of them we can publicise, but is SO important we can help. Bringing a smile to someone who REALLY needs one is simply the BEST! We cant do it without YOU!"
