A man and a teenager have been bailed following an assault which left a man in hospital with 'stab' injuries.

Two males, aged 36 and 14, were arrested following an assault on Rochester Road, Stockton, at around 3.00pm on Sunday (December 3).

Both have since been bailed pending further police enquiries.

A man, 33, remains in hospital and is receiving treatment for his injuries which are "consistent with stab wounds".

His injuries are not deemed to be life threatening.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of an assault at Rochester Road, Stockton at approximately 1500hrs on 03/12/23.

"A 33-year-old male is in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries which have been confirmed as not life-threatening.

"Two males, aged 36 and 14, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

"There is a cordon in the area whilst officers carry out searches at multiple addresses and detectives are carrying out house to house enquiries in the area."
