A North East café has released CCTV footage following an incident which saw vandals throw furniture into a nearby lake.
Locke Park Café Redcar released a video showing a group taking a chair from its site and tossing it into a body of water at around 5:37pm on Thursday (November 28).
The business said they try to stay open for their customers at this time of year despite lower than average custom and did not wish to waste resources dealing with this.
A spokesperson for the business said: "Just when we thought dark, freezing nights would save us from the relentless teenage vandalism.
"Don’t panic gang, close up CCTV under our security lighting is with the police, so if you recognise one of these to be one of your children, expect a knock on the door soon
"I mean it’s been a few years (+ a decade ) since I was a teenager, but throwing business’ chairs and tables into a lake in temperatures of 2 degrees was never my idea of fun
"Please share, and please visit us for a coffee to cheer us up "
