A road remains closed after two pedestrians were hospitalised with serious injuries after an incident involving a car.
The A171 Middlesbrough Road, near Guisborough, is currently closed at Flatts Lane due to the serious collision, which happened at around 7pm and involved a car and two pedestrians.
The pedestrians, a man and a woman, both sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area while emergency services continue to work at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Cleveland Police by calling 101 and quoting reference number CVP-23-237411.
