The cheapest locations for a pint have been revealed across the North East - with the cheapest coming at £3.50 and the most expensive at £4.50.
The average cost of a pint of draught lager rose to £4.61 by September 2023, according to the Office of National Statistics.
Just to give you a picture of how much the price of a pint has gone up over the years - the average price of a pint in 2019 was £3.73.

We have rounded up the cheapest to the most expensive spots for a beer based on research from Numbeo.
It should be noted that this is the average pint price, so if you're thinking that it's a lot cheaper or more expensive down your local boozer, it's an average of all of the places in those locations.
Here is how the North East fared:
- Hartlepool £3.50
- Sunderland £3.50
- Newcastle £3.67
- Stockton £4.15
- Darlington £4.15
- Durham £4
- Middlesbrough £4.50
While there were a few shocks in there, with Middlesbrough's average pint price listed at £4.50, Sunderland and Hartlepool were surprise additions at £3.50.
However, in the grand scheme of things - the North East didn't do too bad, compared to other locations across the UK.

Coventry is the cheapest city in the UK for a pint, according to the new map.
It will cost you £3.45 to enjoy a pint on average in the Central England city.
On the other side of the scale, the most expensive city for a pint was (perhaps, unsurprisingly) London at £6.10.
Print prices within the capitals of the UK's three other nations also varied with Belfast coming in at £5.17, Edinburgh at £5 exactly and Cardiff at £4.
Other expensive cities for a pint included Brighton (£5.91), Oxford (£5.20) and Manchester (£5).
