We have rounded up the cheapest to the most expensive spots for a beer based on research from Numbeo.

It should be noted that this is the average pint price, so if you're thinking that it's a lot cheaper or more expensive down your local boozer, it's an average of all of the places in those locations.

Here is how the North East fared:

  • Hartlepool £3.50
  • Sunderland £3.50
  • Newcastle £3.67
  • Stockton £4.15
  • Darlington £4.15
  • Durham £4
  • Middlesbrough £4.50

While there were a few shocks in there, with Middlesbrough's average pint price listed at £4.50, Sunderland and Hartlepool were surprise additions at £3.50.

However, in the grand scheme of things - the North East didn't do too bad, compared to other locations across the UK.
