A man has today (November 25) appeared in court and was charged with two counts of possession of firearms following an incident at a train station earlier this week.
Middlesbrough Train Station was reportedly cordoned off during the incident on Thursday, November 23, where police discovered "items of concern" at around 4:05pm in the station's public area on Bridge Street West.
During the incident, a 33-year-old man was arrested.
He was remanded in police custody and today appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court where he was charged with the offences.
A 54-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of a class A drugs offence and has been released on police bail.
