It is set to be a dry yet cloudy in Darlington and across the North East today (November 24) as the Met Office forecaster predicts temperatures will feel like below freezing.

Chilly temperatures that will reportedly feel like -1C are set to hit Darlington today as the town heads into the weekend.

Temperatures will reach a high of 6C at 11am, but is then set to drop to a low of 3C by 9pm as the sun goes down.

No rain has been forecast but chilly winds of up to 16mph are set to hit from 3pm onwards.

There will be lows of 9C, with the sun due to set at 3:52pm.

This cloudy forecast is also expected to run into the weekend, as the forecaster has warned of an overcast Saturday with low temperatures of 1C and a similar picture on Sunday too.

The forecaster predicts: “Cold start with early cloud breaking to give good spells of sunshine. The brisk northwesterly winds gradually easing inland.

“Staying rather breezy along the coast where one or two very isolated showers are possible. Remaining rather cold throughout. Maximum temperature 5 °C.”
