The North East won big at this year's Salon Awards after six venues from across the region won categories and accolades - including one that scooped three awards.
The Salon Awards offers a variety of categories for hair salons and individual hair professionals to compete in.
Each category is designed to showcase the talent and expertise of hairdressers, barbers, and hair salons across the UK; it's supposed to be the benchmark for every UK salon.
Since 2017, the Salon Awards has been providing hairdressers and barbers a platform to compete with others in their region, as well as battling it out for the top spot in the UK.
Across two nights earlier this month, the awards ceremony was held in both Manchester and London, where more than 700 hairdressers gathered to see who had won the prestigious prizes.
The most successful North East business on the night was Era 21 Salon in Darlington, who scooped three awards.
Find an accolade in the Best Salon, Best Customer Experience and Best Salon Team, Era 21 was joined by wins from NE Curls in Newcastle, Bridie-Rose Hair and Beauty in Sunderland, Delocks in Trimdon Station, Whites Hair Design, Chelsea O'Connor Hair as winners on the night.

The winners were chosen against a competitive judging process, with salons submitting themselves for the categories and then judged by industry panels and experts in the field.

- Whites Hair Design, Houghton Le Spring - Best Salon For Colour
- Chelsea O'Connor Hair, Gateshead - Best Newcomer or Refurbished Salon
