Two County Durham landmarks will appear on TV tonight, as the tour of the UK with a popular broadcaster continues through the region. 

If you're tuning into More4 programme Matt Baker: Travels with Mum & Dad at 9pm tonight (November 20), you might see some familiar sights.

The show, which tracks Durham's own Matt Baker and his parents across the North East, has so far shown Alnwick Castle and other familiar surroundings.

But tonight's episode will take viewers to Bowes Museum and High Force waterfall in County Durham, and give them an immersive tour of both landmarks.

The episode will see the Bakers bring a mechanical swan back to life in the Bowes Museum and relive fond memories at the iconic High Force waterfall.

Ahead of the show, Durham County Council has expressed its delight about the county being showcased in this way on television.
