A man was taken to hospital after being hit by a quad bike ridden by three men in a North East town yesterday (Monday, October 30).

Police have appealed for information following the incident in Norton Road, Stockton at 7.45pm on Monday.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "It was reported that a man was assaulted and left injured when he was hit by a quad bike ridden by three males.

"The victim was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

"Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with relevant dashcam to contact Stockton CID on 101, quoting reference number 216293.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to an incident yesterday (30 October) at 7:48pm at a private address on Norton Road, Stockton.

"We dispatched one ambulance crew and took one patient to University Hospital of North Tees."
