Bad Education star Layton Williams has hit back at trolls over claims he has an 'unfair advantage' on Strictly Come Dancing after high scores from judges.

This comes after viewers of the programme were left "breathless" after he and his professional dance partner Nikita scored three 10s from the judging panel.

However, a number of fans have been left frustrated by Layton's success with many accusing him of having an 'unfair advantage' because of his theatre career and dance training.

Some have suggested that he should not even be allowed to compete on Strictly Come Dancing, seeing the actor receive negative and downright hateful comments online.

Layton Williams tells trolls to 'use their energy' for something positive

However, Layton Williams has responded to these comments by simply telling those sending them to "use their energy" for something more positive.

Writing on popular social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), he said: "Instead of coming at me with hateful comments, use your energy to shower your fave celeb with love instead. Pretty sure it will make us all feel much better."

Last weekend, Layton and Nikita Kuzmin impressed the BBC judges with their salsa, seeing the pair awarded three 10s.

Judges Anton du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas awarded the 10s, seeing the pair score an impressive 39 points.

They weren't the only couple to score a 10 with Ellie and Vito also reaching this prestigious mark, scoring 37 points in total.

This is the third time this series that Layton and Nikita have topped the leaderboard.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday (October 28) from 6:45pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
