David Beckham is arguably one of the most famous football faces of all time and boy has he profited from it.

A new Netflix documentary has been released that delves deep into the lives of David, 48, and his wife Victoria, 49.

The candid show will explore the decades-long obsession the world has had with 'Posh and Becks' and addresses uncomfortable subject matters at times.

From Beckham's sending off against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup, to rumoured cheating allegations, they hold nothing back in the new show.

One question that everyone is asking however, is how much are the golden couple actually worth?

How did David Beckham make his money?

Back in 1999 when Beckham was a young budding midfielder for Manchester United, The Guardian reported he was the second-richest footballer in the world with total earnings of around £4.1 million, including his salary of £2 million for the season.

He joined Real Madrid in 2003 after an infamous bust-up with then-United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, where he was paid £17 million according to the Independent.

Then in 2007, Beckham took a massive pay cut to join LA Galaxy for a base salary of just £5.3 million. However, this was to be a genius decision on Goldenballs' part.

Forbes reported in November 2012 that he still made over £207 million in the six years he spent at the MLS club because of his percentage revenue clause that brought his earnings to a total of £41 million per year.

Possibly his biggest investment ever has been in MLS itself, where he started his own football club in the league. This was part of a £20-million clause he had signed back in 2007, an option that he went for after his retirement when he co-founded Inter Miami FC in 2018 with the Mas brothers — Jorge and Jose Mas. The club started playing in MLS in 2020.

As of June 2023, various estimates suggest that Inter Miami FC is worth £491 million. In the same month, it landed one of the biggest coups in the footballing world by bagging Argentine football and 2022 FIFA World Cup champion Lionel Messi from PSG.

The arrival of the sporting legend will reportedly skyrocket the club’s valuation to at least USD $1 billion, making it one of the world’s most valuable football clubs.

How much are the Beckhams worth?

According to The Sunday Times rich list, David and Victoria Beckham - who star together in the new documentary - are worth a combined £425 million.

In 2022, The Guardian reported the pair earned £14.5 million that year - the equivalent of £40,000 a day - that year, on top of existing savings and investments.

Even years after his retirement, multi-million dollar brand deals continue to be a major source of revenue for the English football icon.

Over the course of his career and post-retirement, Beckham has been associated with brands such as Adidas, Coty, H&M, Pepsi, Sainsbury’s, Samsung and Breitling. He also has his own line of sunglasses and fragrances.
