Pictures have emerged of a horrifying car crash that saw a police car on its side and left four people in hospital.
A police car was left on its side and a Range Rover had to be towed away following a crash just after 7pm last night (September 20) on Barrack Road in Fenham, Newcastle.
Images from the scene last night have now emerged, showing the police car with its roof cut off and the Range Rover with significant damage to its front and bonnet.

Four people were taken to hospital following the crash, as an investigation into the incident continues.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 7.10pm today (Wednesday) police were alerted to a two-vehicle collision on Barrack Road in Fenham, near to the junction with Brighton Grove.
“Emergency services attended the scene where it was reported that two cars had been involved, including a Northumbria Police vehicle.
“Thankfully nobody was believed to have suffered serious injuries. Part of the road was temporarily closed but has since been re-opened.
“Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or those with dashcam footage should contact police using our website's ‘Tell Us Something’ page, or by calling 101, quoting reference number NP-20230920-1053.”
A NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call to 999 at 19:10 this evening to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic incident on Barrack Road in Newcastle.
"We sent three emergency ambulance crews and a Hazardous Area Response Team.
"Four patients in total were taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment."
