Police are appealing to residents of Tyne and Wear to keep a lookout for missing octogenarian John Banks.
John is from Keighley, and was last seen at Keighley train station. He was reported missing after 1.05 pm today (Saturday, September 16).

He is described as a white male, 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and bald. He’s wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, brown shoes and a green waterproof coat.
It is believed John may have got on a train to Leeds with the intention of travelling onwards to South Shields.
