The announcement about Vera returning to Redcar was made when ice cream shop Gabrielle’s took to social media to mention that crew will be filming nearby later this week.

On its social media post, Gabrielle’s said: "If you didn’t already know, Vera is filming this week in Redcar

"The only disruption to ourselves is we have agreed to turn our music off for filming. This will only affect takeaway and not our parlour.

"This will happen Wednesday, August 23 - 2pm until 3pm, and Thursday, August 24 - 8.30pm until 10pm.

"Thank you for your understanding, and, if you come down, hopefully you'll see Vera in person."
